Infant Program
Welcome to our infant program. Color My World's infant room is designed to be a quiet and soothing place where babies can explore their world in a safe and responsive environment. We provide consistent and loving caregivers who will bond with your baby and develop a close relationship with your family. We are committed to forming a partnership with our parents, so that your child can transition smoothly from your home to the center. Our goal is to cherish your baby and provide a safe, secure and loving environment everyday that they are at Color My World.
Our program includes:
- A highly trained and consistent caregiver team.
- A daily schedule that is developed with you, to meet the individual needs of your baby.
- Healthy meals and snacks.
- A commitment to sanitation and infection control.
- A detailed account of your child's daily activities at the end of each day.
- An invitation to visit and participate in your child's day at any time.
- An infant curriculum, which provides opportunities to explore and learn by touching, hearing, seeing and grasping many exciting concepts.
- Quiet nurseries that allow for peaceful and uninterrupted naps.
- Immediate response to your baby with kind words, smiles and gentle interaction.
Room Guidelines
- Age range
- 6 weeks to about 12 months
- Number of infants
- Number of caregivers
- Ratio
- 1 caregiver to 4 babies (usually averages about 1-3)
- Caregiver qualifications
- Associate degree or bachelor degree in education.
- 24 hours of in-service training yearly.
- CPR certification
- SIDS training
- Shaken Baby training.
- Meals and Snacks
- Provided on demand according to parents request.
- Communication
- Daily sheets and personal communication.
- 6 weeks - 9 months - daily log with documentation every 30 minutes while awake and every 15 minutes while sleeping.
- 9 months and older - daily activity sheets.
